Fort Huachuca Case Study
PEARL homebuilders and the U.S. military have something in common – they’re both investing in permanent escape ladders to improve home safety! Recently, Fort Huachuca became the first military base in the world to install PEARL. With the U.S. military eying safety and quality of life improvements for
all on-base residents, Fort Huachuca has installed PEARL in more than 50 of its on-base housing units. The ladders were installed by MW-All Star Joint Venture, the contractor responsible for housing renovations at Fort Huachuca. MW-All Star Joint Venture’s Ellard Comstock comments: “They were
easy to install. They’re one of the better safety features the Army can install for the occupants.” Fort Huachuca, one of the largest military bases in the Southwest, is home to thousands active duty soldiers and family members. As part of an ongoing housing renovation project designed to improve and repair residential structures, Fort Huachuca’s contracted building team decided to integrate safety upgrades, like PEARL, into many of the homes.
